Hi everyone...I'm using the revised coastal.wad and I'm having a very very very hard time setting a multiple trigger! I have two key holes which should trigger a camera when both activated by the star key. The camera in turn should open a door. Up to now, no problems... But when I go into trouble is when I want the camera to work when BOTH the stars are placed into the keyholes which is not the case at the moment: the camera starts when only one keyhole is triggered... Here is what I am doing: -place a key trigger for the keyholes in front of each keyhole. -place two triggers for the camera, one of each in front of a keyhole and with a different codebit in the OCB (1 and 2 for the first trigger, 3,4,5 for the second) -prey a lot while the wad is outputting and the level converter converting... -swearing and steaming when I realise that it didn't work... -doing it again with different setting... -eventually connecting to the Forum for desperate help... and directions. Please help... JB IP: Logged |

"Qui va la j't'en prie ?"Well jbc21, if you could 2 different keys I would suggest the use of the TRIGGER TRIGGERER then. But of course, the way you choose to set your triggers here is appropriate but I aint had the time yet to have a look for meself, that's why I mentionned as per above. Stay put and wait for more feedback.... ------------------ IP: Logged |

Well, thanks for the idea of the trigger triggerer... I'll try it as soon as I can. I had already thought of this but I didn't apply it cos I already have so many TTs in this small room that it seems overloaded in the plan view grid...!Thanks JB ----------------------- C'est lundi, c'est ravioli... JB[/QUOTE okay heres what you do first set the trigger on the first keyhole as triggertype key then press codebits 1&2 then on the second key hole set as key and press code bits 3,4,5 then place your camera as usual you dont need to set the codebits for the camera trigger just make sure the trigger for the camera is set on each keyhole IP: Logged |

OK... I've tried all the methods and ways to set a multiple trigger (code bites, trigger triggerer...) and NOTHING worked! Either the camera I want to trigger triggered when I placed only one of the keys, or it never triggered at all... Did anybody try to use the multiple trigger in the revised coastal wad? I was thinking also that the problem might come from the fact that I'm using twice the SAME key (the golden star) in twice the same keyhole to trigger the same camera. Maybe I have to use two different kinds of key... Any suggestions? ThanksJB ----------------------------- If you're fond of sand dunes and salty air... IP: Logged |

all right JB I'll try again in more detail first set up your key holes then click on the square under the first keyhole and press the trigger button now open the trigger window and select trigger type key click okay and set code bits 1&2 then click okay do the same for the second keyhole only this time set code bits 3,4,5 now set up your camera and on the square that the camera is on set a trigger as heavy then click on the door then click the square that the heavy trigger is on and press the trigger button now to trigger the camera first make the camera is selected then click on the square under the first keyhole and press the trigger button do the same thing for the second key hole (select the camera hilight the keyhole square and press the trigger button)IP: Logged |

when i tried to use multiple code bits to trigger a camera, i also failed. Though i could trigger a door just fine (in catacomb wad). So i tried triggerin other stuff. As i remember, baddies work, and spiked ball works, but not camera. So i had the multiple trigger trigger a ball to fall on a square that had a heavy trigger on it to trigger the camera that opened the door etc. Of course if you don't have a spiky ball in your wad... you can break all sorts of special trigger problems this way though. semitonicIP: Logged |
